What we believe.
Love Marriage Co. was founded by a pastor, so it seems only fair to say plainly what that means before you spend an hour of your life on a consultation.
Who we serve
Most of the couples we work with do not attend Matt's church. Many do not attend any church. We officiate ceremonies for couples of every background, and the ceremony is built around your story rather than ours.
We are glad to serve couples who are religious, spiritual, uncertain, or not religious at all. We officiate interfaith ceremonies, second marriages, ceremonies where one of you believes and the other does not, elopements, courthouse ceremonies, and weddings where God is never mentioned once because that is what the two of you wanted.
If you want Scripture, prayer, communion or a blessing, we can do that well. If you want none of it, we can do that well too.
What we hold to
Matt is an ordained Christian minister. He officiates marriages between one man and one woman, which is what he understands marriage to be. That conviction shapes which ceremonies he is able to perform, and it is not a judgment of anyone he cannot serve.
If we are not the right fit
Tell us early and we will tell you early. San Diego has excellent officiants, and we would rather send you to the right one in week one than have you find out in month six. Ask us and we will make an introduction to someone we trust.
